Ro Shampo (Figure 8)

This Imperial Red Ale is clever if not just for their label. It's the ...no evil monkeys playing ro sham bo. The Ro Shampo bit goes back to the rock climbing, which is the central theme of their brewery. I just had a sample of this one, but would go for the pint.

From the Figure 8 site:

"Brewed with four varieties of hops and a blend of 6 malts, this is well balanced with a nose that evokes thoughts of toffee, fine whisky, and cotton candy while finishing with the satisfaction of a taffy apple on a warm autumnal day."

General Thoughts: This one really wasn't bad. Drinkable, and I'd have it again. I think that their Double IPA overshadows this a bit. But if you are in the mood for a red ale, this would be a good choice. I'm not sure about the cotton candy bit in their description...but it's good stuff.
