N'ice Chouffe (Brasserie d’ Achouffe)
This Limited Edition 2008 ale was the perfect drink for this cold evening. It is a drink to be sipped and does well sitting out and warming up. As much as it can warm up in this weather.
From the Brasserie d’ Achouffe site:
"Description: The N’ICE CHOUFFE is a strong dark beer that will warm you up during the winter months. It is spiced (with thyme and curaçao) and a light hop taste, a well-balanced beer. The N’ICE CHOUFFE is unfiltered, and re-fermented in the bottle as well as in the keg.
General Thoughts: Tons of head. It spilled out at it was opened. The head dissipated very quickly. Stayed very carbonated. Herbal aroma. Dark brown color. It has a creaminess to it. The spiciness is balanced with the sweetness you get in a Belgian ale. I'd have it again. This adds to another line of fantastic Brasserie d’ Achouffe brews.
