Brew Haven Taste: Cream Dream IV-A New Hop (Sun King)
This is the second to last in the Brew Haven taste series. I've been slacking in adding them. I"m busy enjoying the weather (even the rain) and all the summer community events!
This Imperial IPA was tapped near the end of the Brew Haven Brewfest. The line was long to taste this new addition, one of the few specialty brews that the proper breweries brought.
[Sorry, no picture. Didn't pause to snap one.]
General Thoughts
Look and Smell: It had that bright/neon color to the yellow goldness. Like you get in some Belgians. It had a frothy white head. The hops were earthy (pine), citrus and a little floral. Pretty much a full hop combo. It tastes similar to the combo used by FFF in Arctic Panzer Wolf (a wonderful, chill inducing Imperial IPA).
Taste: This actually tasted a good bit like the Panzer, but it was missing something. Maybe the malt balance? The hops were awfully tasty though. I'd definitely drink this again.
