Alaskan IPA (Alaskan)
I enjoyed a pint of this IPA on tap from the Ball Park Cafe at the Minnesota State Fair. I had never heard of Alaskan Brewing Company, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
General Thoughts
Look and Smell: It was gold with a white frothy head. It was super carbonated. I couldn't smell much over the fair smells. It had light lacing as I drank it.
Taste: I tasted citrus and woody hops. The slightly sweet malt balanced it out.
From the Alaskan site:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.
