Raven Tor (Figure 8)

One of my brews from a recent visit to the Figure 8 taproom. This oatmeal stout was new to me. I'm a huge fan of stouts, so I had to try this.

General Thoughts
Look and Smell: It was black with a rich off-white head. It had a nitro cascade that briefly danced around the pint glass. It looked very similar to Guinness, but didn't smell as malty. I didn't get much of a smell off of it. I don't think my nose was smelling well this whole trip!!

Taste: Rich and creamy. A very light stout. I tasted some malt. It wasn't overly malty. Not much too it, bad or good. I'd definitely drink it again though. I'd recommend it to people who like Guinness or lighter stouts.

From the F8 site:
A blend of six grains, incuding flaked oats, working together with the nitro pour to produce an unbelievably smooth mouth feel - a rich, robust body and a slightly sweet node, the perfect blend to warm you after a hard day of climbing in this brew's namesake crag in England's Peak District.
