Bacon & Beer Pairing #3: Trumer Pils with Local Danish Bacon
This Austrian-style lager from California doesn't get in the way of the super smoky Danish bacon.
The only good bit of this pairing was the bacon. It even made the pils taste better. I am not a big pils drinker, but this one didn't have a bad aftertaste that I could detect. The bacon was lean enough and not too salty. Any saltiness and smoke was balanced out by the super light lager. It was a definite palate cleanser after that IPA and pepper bacon!
