Offwidth (Figure 8)

Another set of notes from my Figure 8 trip. This double pale ale is packed with strong flavor. Worth taking a growler of this home.

General Thoughts
Look and Smell: This brown brew had an off-white head. It had a full hops smell (citrus, wood and a little floral) with a balance of malt.

Taste: The bitterness had a pithiness to it. It was also very piney. It has a smooth malt aftertaste, but it's pretty strong upfront. As it warms you get more of that bitterness. I'd say that this is a pretty powerful brew.

A Double Pale Ale made with a blend of six grains, amarillo, centennial, and williamette hops yielding an upfront bitterness that rides through to the end with a light citrus nose.
