Lot No 3 (Evolution Craft Brewing Co)

I was trying to go for DC-area brews while out there for this last trip. This IPA was on tap. After a sweet-ish IPA, I asked for a taste. It was tasty, so I went for the full pint.

General Thoughts
Look and Smell: This gold brew had thick white head that left thick lacing as I drank it down. It had a very piney and woody smell. Very nice.

Taste: It was piney and much drier than my last brew. The aftertaste was slightly woody, but didn't linger around too long. This is what I was looking for. Flavorful, but mellow enough to accompany food.

From the Evo site:
This American-style IPA is aggressively hopped at a rate of over 2 lbs. per barrel. Big notes of citrus and pine complement a reserved but firm malt backbone.
