Weizen Bam Bière (Jolly Pumpkin)
This was more what I was looking for after a day of fests. This bière de garde was light and refreshing, and incredibly flavorful. Another win for Jolly Pumpkin. Fair warning though, my notes don't match the description at all! I got no banana or spicy nutmeg. Did they list the wrong beer? Well whatever it was, it was good.
General Thoughts
Look and Smell: This bright yellow brew had a thin head. It smelled like sour candy. Almost like a lemon head, in a good way.
Taste: This was more sour than sweet. The acid left it dry on the tongue. The grain tastes added depth to this summery brew. I'd take refreshment from this over a shandy any day.
From the Jolly Pumpkin site:
Weizen Bam Bière - Ruddy golden, with yeast driven esters of banana, spicy clove, and nutmeg all wrapped up with a generous dose of rapscillion delight.
