I'm not sure what it is about coffee dates, but they ground me. Whether I'm treating myself to an indulgent sugary treat or a plain black double espresso, taking the time for coffee with a dear friend means the world to me. It's an excuse to catch up. It's an excuse to get away. It's an excuse to splurge a bit. It shows that you care. It makes me feel like a grown up. It's the glamorous bits of life or the shoulder to cry on.

After a shopping date. Quiet time after a party. After a big meal. Sitting down for coffee makes me realize I'm living a life. It revitalizes me and makes me appreciate those around me.
