Spelt-Check (Hunter's Brewing)

One of the many things that I love about Hunter's Brewing is a good selection of low ABV brews. In an age when breweries are trying to make bigger beers, they are relying on high alcohol or overpowering flavors to satisfy the extreme customer. Hunter's has released a number of wonderfully complex brews, ranging in styles and strength, without relying solely on ABV or mouth-puckering bitterness/sweetness to bring in the masses.

General Thoughts
Look and Smell: This orange brew had a white ring of head that stuck around. It smelled sweet.

Taste: It was slightly bitter with a sour citrus (orange) flavor. It tasted like dry wort. It was the essence of beer. It was fresh with the sugar fully fermented out. It was crisp. I really like a good, dry saison, and this definitely fit my tastes.
