Jupiter (Red Eye Brewing Company)
This was another brew from my Madison trip. This Belgian-style ESB was brewed in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Red Eye Brewing Company works to follow sustainable practices in both their brewery and restaurant by giving spent grain to farmers and even using locally-sourced wood for their pizza oven (more info). Looking at their menu and all the fresh food, it's on my list for my next Wisconsin road trip!
Terse notes...enjoying the company.
General Thoughts
Look and Smell: This gold brew had a white head that quickly dissipated. It left a tiny ring.
Taste: This wasn't a typical ESB. It was almost tart. It wasn't sugary like a Belgian. It had a lemon taste that hit the roof of my mouth. Interesting combo!
