Commodore (Ironwood Brewing)
I visited Ironwood again this past weekend. We were out that way looking at the Christmas lights. This porter seemed like a good winter brew to go with the feel of the night.
General Thoughts
Look and Smell: This black brew had a tan head that quickly settled to a ring of bubbles. I could smell some roast on it.
Taste: It was served very cold, but the roast still came through. It had a light bitter chocolate taste to it. It was sugary sweet. It was a porter that had a good roasted side, but I personally like a little more roast and a little more complexity. As it warmed some other flavors may have come out.
