25 Drinks: Extra Export Stout

I believe the bottle-fermented stout that I pulled from the December 6 slot of my homemade advent calendar was given to me by a local friend, but I'm just not sure. This one had been lurking in my cellar for a special occasion and what occasion is more special than December 6, 2015?

This super carbonated Belgian brew from Brouwerij de Dolle Brouwers was full of dark chocolate flavors. The effervescence gave it another layer of experience. It had a dry booziness too. This was delicious on its own. It would have gone well with dark fruit, chocolate, or pound cake covered in strawberries cooked down with balsamic vinegar. 

Stouts are on the menu this December!
