25 Drinks: The Raven

Day 17... Another oatmeal stout, F8's bourbon barrel aged Raven Tor. We picked up this bottle in 2013, the first year they started doing barreling. The releases were a bit rough, but some time smoothed it out. I'm surprised how sugary it is 3 years later!

It's a nice holiday treat. It's like sugar cookies, caramel, and brown sugar. The charred barrel comes through beautifully! On a stretch I get flavors of cinnamon and anise. The aging really brings out the vanilla and spice.
