Sawtooth (Left Hand Brewing Company)

Enjoyed a pint from a high-nitro tap at FFF. Again with the nitro.... They had described this as an American IPA (a lot of those around lately), but I think it's just a standard ale. On the Left Hand site they call it a American-Style ESB. With the nitro, they are bordering on putting it with all of those cream ales we all love.

General Thoughts
Look and Smell: Nitro, so rich head and great settling. The head was white and the beer was almost amber. I couldn't smell much sitting at the bar, but I did get a  light hop scent cutting through.

Taste: I didn't get IPA out of this. It was a good, complex ale. I got the malt with a bitter balance. A light bitter.

From the Left Hand site:
Two guitars, bass and drums. It's all you'll ever need. Sessionable. Unpretentious. Our original flagship. Proof that a beer can be both complex and balanced. Malty chewiness slowly transitioning over to herbal, earthy hops with a dry finish. Brewed to be enjoyed with friends and to stimulate serendipity.
