Bowline (Hunter's Brewing)

Getting back to some Hunter's Brewing notes, this Roggenbier was yet another in a line of diverse brews. This wasn't just a standard rye beer, it was complex and rich.

General Thoughts
Look and Smell: This cloudy brown brew had a white head with a layer that sticks. It smelled grainy with some hearty wheat.

Taste: This thick brew had a nice spice to it. I got a fruity spike. It was like a dark fruit, cherries? This beer was deliciously rich with a hearty graininess. It would be fine anytime, but this hit me as a brew that would be perfect for a chilly day maybe to welcome fall. I can't wait for them to brew another batch of this substantial and complex brew.
